At Insight Radiology, we use the most technologically advanced 4D scanning equipment to allow you to see your unborn baby in extraordinarily high detail. This is a bonding experience that parents treasure forever.
From images of your baby sucking its thumb, waving its hands or simply smiling, the 4D ultrasound provides a moving picture for expectant parents, creating an experience that will be treasured forever.

We offer the option of 4D scanning with all our Obstetric Scans, and have several packages available.

Before 3D/4D scan
You will be invited into our ultrasound room and asked to lie on the examining table. Our ultrasound rooms include monitors so that you can view the scan as it is taking place.

3D/4D Scan
A warm gel is spread over the abdomen  and our expert sonographer or radiologist then presses a hand-held ‘transducer” firmly against the skin, moving it until the desired images are captured.  You will be able to see the images during the scan.

Post 3D/4D Scanning 
Your images and a DVD will be provided to you before your leave. If your scan was part of a routine 11 - 14 week or 18 - 20 obstetric scan, then a full report will also be provided, with a copy sent to your Lead Maternity Carer.
